Hello, I’m Melinda Truesdell, DNP, PMHNP-BC.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 30 years of nursing experience across Montana. I earned my Master’s degree, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), and PMHNP certification from Montana State University, where I continue to serve part-time as faculty, training future psychiatric nurse practitioners. I am certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
My career has taken me from mental health crisis care in emergency departments, where I spent seven years managing urgent psychiatric needs to my current focus, Outpatient psychiatry, serving adults across Montana and Wyoming through both in-person and telepsychiatry care.
I specialize in the evaluation and management of:
Major Depressive Disorder
Anxiety Disorders
Bipolar Disorder
Psychotic Disorders
ADHD
I also have a particular interest in women’s mental health and in caring for older adults (65+).
At the heart of my work is a passion for expanding access to evidence-based care in rural communities and breaking down barriers that prevent people from receiving the support they deserve.
Outside of my practice, I live in Billings, Montana, where I enjoy time with family, traveling, and exploring the outdoors.
